Our Fees during the COVID 19 pandemic

We have amended our fees to take account of the government’s tele-health initiative. We are also aware that  many people may be facing financial hardship. If you are in this situation, please talk to us about what we can do to help.

face to face & telehealth consultations

The following patients are eligible for bulk-billing.

  • Children under 5

  • DVA Gold Card holders

Private fees will apply to all other patients., as follows

Standard (up to 20 min) Long (over 20min ) Extended (over 40 min)

Fee $95 $160 $235

Medicare Rebate $39.10 $75.75 $111.50

Patients who do not fall under the above categories but are experiencing financial hardship should discuss the matter with their doctor.

Procedures

We do minor skin and other procedures inhouse and there is a procedure fee involved to cover for costs of equipment/dressings. The fees vary depending on the complexity of the procedures.

Bulk billing anu students

We have limited availability for sessions where we bulk bill ANU students and direct bill Allianz insured Students. All other appointments attract a concession fee.

Bulk billing is subject to two conditions

1.    The student must present a current full time ANU student card at time of first appointment.

2.    If a student fails to keep a first-time appointment without giving at least 6 hours’ notice the Practice will not accept another booking from that student for three months.

Direct-billing for Allianz OSHC

If you hold a current OSHC policy and attend Hobart Place General Practice the bill will be sent directly to Allianz Global Assistance and you will not have to pay or submit a claim.  Please advise OSHC policy holder details at the time of booking. 

New Patient appointments

**Please note that we now require Credit Card details for all new patient appointments that will be held securely by PinPayments. There will be no charge unless there is a DNA Fee required.

A cancellation fee of $80 may be charged for appointments not kept unless 2 working hours prior notice has been given (e.g. to cancel a 3pm appointment the patient would have to give notice by 1pm on the same day).

Cancellation Fees

All appointment cancellations will require a minimum of 2hrs notice on the day of the appointment. (e.g. to cancel a 3pm appointment the patient would have to give notice by 1pm on the same day). There will be a $40 charge for all missed appointments of a standard length (15min) & $80 for long appointments (30mins or more). These charges will be payable before patients are allowed to make further appointments.

Payment is DUE AT TIME OF CONSULTATION

For consultations where a private fee is due, patients are requested to pay at the time of the consultation. We accept cash, cheque, EFTPOS and credit card. Patients who have difficulty paying should discuss the issue with their doctor.

Workers Compensation claims and Third Party Insurance claims are the responsibility of the patient. Payment at the time of consultation is required.

Wednesday: 08:30am to 6:00pm

Thursday & Friday: 08:30am to 6:30pm

Saturday: 9:00am to 11:30am

Closed on Sundays & public holidays.
